I used it for my dog, I have always had to take her to a groomer to get her nails done but this is easy to use and you can barley hear it so it doesn’t frighten her like most would.

Very effective!!!!! It took a lot of patience for my dog to get used to, but it worked well and my dog finally reacted much better, compared to the classic nail cuts. For my part I am satisfied and I advice without hesitation! -A real find-but if you spend more time (for my part I will try to use it regularly (1 times a week or every 15 days to save time) I would leave an additional opinion for more precision and to confirm the quality of the device.

I just finished trimming the rest of Max's nails & immediately hopped on here to write a review. The trimmer arrived yesterday & since Max traditionally does NOT like vibrating objects, I knew it would take a little time til he accepted it, & yet less than 24 hours later we're all done! First I let him sniff it, then rewarded him, then turned it on & rewarded him, touched it to his body & rewarded him, touched it to his nail & rewarded him, when back a couple of steps, went forward a couple of steps, & this morning I stuck a tube of peanut butter between my feet & he let me trim ALL of his nails. This is HUGE!

I've always been a little afraid of trimming my dogs nails for fear of cutting too short. I have 2 small dogs and their nails grow fast, so I finally decided it was time to learn because paying to have them trimmed so frequently was too expensive. This grinder came with information on how to trim the nail which made me feel more confident. The grinder worked great and it was my first time using it. I was able to use by myself without having someone else hold my dogs. Both of my dogs did really well with the grinder. I allowed them to get adjusted to the sound first and rewarded them with treats throughout the process. The wiggled a bit at times, but overall stayed still and allowed me to trim. I love how quiet the grinder is.

Works very well, the grinder is sharp and trims nails very easily, 2 speeds are good, the unit is quiet and didn't take long for our puppy to get used to the feeling. Feels good to hold, solid, comfortable and small so easy to handle. A wonderful product that will be well used for years to come.

Incredible thing! My dog has a problem-claws are so hard that not every bite will take. Saw does not give a saw-hides paws. Eternal trouble with long vessels (echoes of childhood with poor care). This miracle machine almost did not resist! The first charge of the battery was enough for 1 paw, but on it claws, like a stone.

Toy poodle puppy approved. I bought this to use on my new 4 month old 4.5 pound poodle puppy. She’s not a scaredy-cat and, that said, I didn’t want nail day to make her one. The unit was whisper quiet. I was surprised at how quiet it was. After I turned it on she barely gave it a glance. A cursory sniff and then not interested in it at all. I held her in my lap and started with the first nail. Minimal noise when applied to the nail. She wasn’t sure she liked it all that much, but didn’t pull away much. By the end of that nail she was resigned to it. No strong pulling away for the rest of the job. Ok, not her favorite thing for sure, but no big deal. I didn’t need to do the treat thing with her. The Nike approach, we just did it. The unit was easy to hold, nice size and light. I’m a senior with small hands and the size is great for me. This was my first foray into doggie nail grinding. Much easier than using the nail clippers. I have a bit of arthritis in my hands and appreciated not having to squeeze clippers. Also, almost no vibration so I wasn’t left with tingling hands and the feeling I’d get carpal tunnel from using this tool. There is a bit of nail dust while grinding so if I had l larger dog with more nail I would wear a mask. Clean up was a breeze. I had left the guard cap on, so I just pulled that off and cleaned per the instructions. Easy-peasy.

I have a 100lb dog. The first day I got the grinder, I left it in the "on" position on the floor next to him for 20 min. He wasn't too sure about the funny vibration it made and eyed it warily. The second day I did the same thing then picked it up, with the cap on, and gently touched it to his haunches so he could feel the vibration. Again he wasn't too sure about it. With the cap on, I picked up his front paw, secured the nail between my 2 fingers and touched the capped grinder to his nail. He looked at me like I was nuts. The entire time I spoke softly and gently to him. I then removed the cap and gently touched the grinder to his nail for only a second. He flinched a little but didn't pull his paw away. I then proceeded to grind only 1 nail in quick gentle strokes. Success!!! No angry dog! I will proceed with each nail a day at a time until he gets used to the feeling. I've attached before picture.
